Did you know that 20 percent of motorcycle owners are women? That is nearly 1 in 5 riders that make up the motorcycle community, which in contrast, is a vast difference to the 1 in 10 from over a decade ago. However, it is becoming more and more apparent that women are enjoying motorcycles and shifting the rider community — a shift Suzuki Canada proudly supports.
At the forefront of the shift are Quebec Entrepreneur Maxime Sheehy and Director of Operations Cyndi Martin from Chicks and Machines – a prominent online magazine and community representing women passionate about motorsports. Thanks to the efforts of people like Maxime and Cyndi, today, thousands of women are inspired to buy, drive, and live their passion. Manufacturers, retailers, and all those in orbit around motorsports recognize this and are adapting to support the growing number of women riders.
When Suzuki Canada learned that both Maxime and Cyndi took the opportunity to demo Suzuki’s V-Strom 1050 XA – we were delighted and hoped they loved our motorcycles as much as we do.
While exploring old and new terrain, Maxime and Cyndi fell in love with the V-Strom’s sleek design, top-notch features, and smooth handling. They enjoyed the motorcycle so much that they decided to take a closer look at Suzuki’s dual-purpose motorcycle lineup. So naturally, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 caught their attention, and rightfully so, as it is quite possibly the best all-around, dual-purpose motorcycle available. Both Maxime and Cyndi have purchased V-Strom 650’s for their personal bikes.
