The DR-Z4S is “Ready 4 Anything”, taking riders wherever they want to go. On or off road, there is nothing holding you back from fully enjoying every outing. A proven, class-leading product that has been thoroughly updated, both in terms of performance and styling.
The 398 cm³ single-cylinder four-valve DOHC engine delivers smooth, controllable power from low rpm through to the high end of its operating range.
Lightweight titanium intake valves and hollow sodium-filled exhaust valves contribute to maximizing combustion efficiency and performance.
The fuel injection system features easier starts, especially when the engine is cold, and employs 10-hole injectors that maximize fuel atomization for better combustion efficiency and lower fuel consumption. The DR-Z4S offers riders precision fuel-air balance. By achieving the ideal fuel-air ratio, the engine features satisfying response as the rider begins to open the throttle.
The DR-Z4S LED headlight incorporates both the high and low beam into one bright projector module. The front and rear LED turn signals are highly visible.
Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) provides positive clutch engagement both on and off the road, resulting in smoother deceleration and gear changes.
The new pipe steel twin-spar frame remains plenty capable of withstanding rough conditions, while also contributing to nimble handling that responds faithfully to the rider’s will.
The New LCD instrument panel features a straightforward, legible display that supplies critical real-time operating information and allows easy adjustments to S.I.R.S setting changes.

You choose an integrated riding mode or individual settings to best suit your level of experience, your riding style, and the conditions of the moment. In turn, S.I.R.S. frees you to concentrate on riding with greater confidence by making the DR-Z4S/SM more controllable, more predictable, and less tiring to ride, no matter how far your journey takes you.
Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS)
The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) better assists the rider in matching performance to the riding scene, surface conditions, or preferred riding style.
Suzuki Traction Control (STCS)
The Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) for the DR-Z4S/SM includes a custom-tuned G (Gravel) mode setting that helps the rider maximize off-road performance.
ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)
The DR-Z4S/SM is the first Suzuki production model with an ABS that can be switched OFF for both wheels. In addition, both the DR-Z4S/SM offer Rear ABS OFF mode, which switches off just the rear wheel ABS.
Suzuki’s Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System
Suzuki’s Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System realizes faithful response and employs a throttle cable that offers adjustment of throttle play and fine control over throttle action.
